Robust Liquid Level Control of Quadruple Tank System: A Nonlinear Model-Free Approach

In this paper, two new versions of modified active disturbance rejection control (MADRC) are proposed to stabilize a nonlinear quadruple tank system and the water levels lower tanks in presence exogenous disturbances, parameter uncertainties, parallel varying input set-points. The first scheme is configured from combination tracking differentiator (TD), super twisting sliding mode (STC-SM), extended state observer (NLESO), while second obtained by aggregating another TD, error feedback (MNLSEF), fal-function-based ESO. MADRC schemes with investigated running simulations MATLAB/SIMULINK environment several comparison experiments conducted validate effectiveness schemes. Furthermore, genetic algorithm (GA) used as tuning parametrize integral time absolute (ITAE), square signal (ISU), (IAU) an output performance index (OPI). Finally, simulation results show robustness noticeable reduction OPI.
